Note on data: The achievement list below is community-reported (compiled from a Steam guide, originally written in Russian) and is not officially confirmed by the developers. Names, conditions, and the exact number of familiar achievements may change with future patches. One entry in the source was cut off mid-list, so treat the final achievement as undocumented.
How Familiar Achievements Work in Witchspire
Almost every familiar achievement in this Witchspire familiar guide revolves around a single action: bonding a familiar. In Witchspire, “bonding” is the term used for taming and recruiting a creature to fight alongside you, and in the community-reported list, the matching achievement unlocks the moment the bond is complete.
The set breaks down into three layers:
- Progression milestones — your first starter familiar and your first wild familiar.
- Species collection — most achievements are unlocked by bonding one specific, named familiar species.
- Rarity and variants — star-rated familiars (Rare / Epic / Legendary) plus special visual variants (Celestial, Shifty) each have their own achievement.
The general rule, according to the community guide, is simple: if you can find it and bond it, you get the achievement. There are no hidden steps for the species entries — the trick is knowing what each creature is called and what makes the special ones different.
Unlocking the Two Starter Milestones
Before worrying about specific species, knock out the two earliest entries. Bonding any familiar for the first time (your starter) triggers “Best friends”, and taming your first creature found in the wild triggers “Creature collector”. These will almost always unlock naturally as you play, so treat them as automatic progress rather than something to hunt.
Bonding Every Named Species
The bulk of the list is one achievement per species. You do not need any special strategy beyond finding and bonding the creature. The table below maps each species to its achievement so you can tick them off as a checklist — this doubles as a target list for players building a full familiar collection.
| Achievement (EN) | Condition |
|---|---|
| Rock & Roll | Bond a Rockling |
| Flower Picking | Bond a Taileaf |
| You. Are. ADORABLE | Bond a Lamloof |
| Those look… Sharp. | Bond a Specra |
| Spicy. | Bond a Chirili |
| Sit! | Bond a Xilvant |
| Rollin’. | Bond a Lety |
| Here kitty kitty! | Bond a Pheomina |
| Don’t make eye contact. | Bond a Granloof |
| You’re not as scary as you look, are you? | Bond an Etherit |
| Diamond in the rough. | Bond a Shardling |
| Splashin’. | Bond a Bompus |
| Fired up. | Bond a Charling |
| Dam, dam, dam! | Bond a Detrox |
| You’re a big one! | Bond a Treetop |
| Glad you’re on my side… | Bond a Shudder |
| Gw- Gwen who? | Bond a Gwaraofeerinax |
| Oh deer! | Bond a Loija |
| Queen of the Rocklings. | Bond a Peb |
Because these are species-specific, the fastest route is to bond every familiar you encounter rather than being picky — you never know which species you still need until it is in front of you.
Rarity Achievements: Rare, Epic and Legendary
Three achievements are gated behind a familiar’s star rating, not its species:
- A Rare Find — bond a familiar with 1 star (Rare).
- Epic moment — bond a familiar with 2 stars (Epic).
- Strongest around — bond a familiar with 3 stars (Legendary).
In other words, the same familiar species can be found at different star levels. Taming your way up from a 1-star to a 3-star specimen is the core of the star-based achievements, and it is where the most valuable long-term companions live.
The Two Special Variants: Celestial and Shifty
Two achievements depend on visual variants that behave differently from normal creatures.
Celestial familiars unlock the achievement “A Blessing from Starhaven.” According to the community guide, these are a distinct type of familiar that glows slightly, making them stand out from ordinary spawns. The community description links them to “Starhaven,” though this is not officially confirmed.
Shifty familiars unlock the achievement “Something Different.” A Shifty familiar is recognisable because it is a different colour from the normal version of its species. The guide author reports having seen only one, a purple Rockling — whereas regular Rocklings are green. Because Shifty spawns appear to be rare, the practical farming approach is simply to keep bonding wild familiars and watch the colours closely.
A Missing Entry: “Playtime!”
The source list ends with an achievement titled “Playtime!” (Russian: “Игривое создание”) — but the condition was cut off before the familiar’s name was listed. Based on the pattern of the rest of the list, this is almost certainly another bond-a-specific-species achievement, but the exact familiar is undocumented in the community material. Until it is confirmed, treat this one as the single unknown in the set.
Tips for a Clean 100% Run
- Bond everything, early. Since the named-species achievements have no special conditions, scooping up every familiar you meet is the most efficient farming method and prevents revisiting areas later.
- Watch the stars. Keep an eye on star ratings as you collect — you need at least one each of 1-star, 2-star and 3-star familiars.
- Scan for colour swaps. Shifty familiars look like a recolour of the standard species (e.g. a purple Rockling), so check each new spawn’s colour, not just its species.
- Look for the glow. Celestial familiars glow faintly, which is the tell the community uses to spot them.
- Expect patch changes. As this list is community-reported and unofficial, re-check it after major updates in case conditions or names shift.
Follow this sequence — starter, first wild bond, every species, then the star-rated and special variants — and you will clear the Witchspire familiar achievement set.
